The Salvation Army of Brooke and Hancock Counties celebrated its volunteers with a special luncheon on Thursday.

All Saints Greek Orthodox Church in Weirton hosted the event and cooked for the volunteers.

Captain Gene Hunt says events like this are important because the volunteers have worked very hard over the past few years making sure that the community was taken care of.

“These people gave tireless countless hours and other resources so that we could meet the needs of this community," he said.
