Two Clermont County track and field teams brought home Southern Buckeye Athletic and Academic Conference National Division championships last week.

On the boys side, Williamsburg collected 169 points to take the National Division crown. Clermont Northeastern finished second with 159.5 points.

CNE’s C.J. Boothby won the 100-meter dash (11.13 seconds) and the 200-meter dash (22.64 seconds).

Xaden Hunt (CNE) placed second in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.39 seconds. Williamsburg’s Bryce Lillie was third in 11.47 seconds.

Hunter Burdine (CNE) took second in the 200-meter dash in 23.53 seconds. Williamsburg’s Hayden Hollins was third in 23.90 seconds.

Hollins won the 400-meter dash, finishing in 52.34 seconds. CNE’s Summit Northrup placed second in that event with a time of 53.50 seconds.

Northrup won the 800-meter run, the 1600-meter run and the 3200-meter run. Williiamsburg’s Evan Hall placed second in the 800. Teammate Zach Earley took third in the 1600. Bethel-Tate’s Luke Huserman placed second in the 3200.

Bootbhy won the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 15.67 seconds. Teammate Logan Carlier placed second in 16.47 seconds.

Carlier won the 300-meter hurdles, finishing in 43.78 seconds. Williamsburg’s Bryce Powers placed second in 44.25 seconds.

Williamsburg won three of the four relay titles.

In the field events, Williamsburg’s Nick Patterson placed second in the shot put at 38 feet, 11.5 inches. Felicity’s Logan Pack placed third with a throw of 37 feet, 1.5 inches.

Patterson won the discus with a throw of 113 feet, 11 inches. Felicity’s Lucas Fragassi placed third at 104 feet, 8 inches.

Boothby won the long jump, leaping 21 feet, 6 inches. Williamsburg’s Justyn Fuller (20 feet, 1.5 inches) placed second with Lillie (19 feet, 9 inches) third.

Trystan Gries won the high jump for the Wildcats, clearing 6 feet, 5 inches. Teammate Evan Meisberger placed third at 5 feet, 8 inches.

CNE’s Kentin Nichols won the pole vault, clearing 10 feet, 6 inches. Williamsburg’s Caiden Sailes placed second at an even 10 feet.

In the girls’ National Division competition, Bethel-Tate collected 145 points to prevent a Williamsburg sweep. The Lady Wildcats finished second with 137 points. Georgetown (91) placed third.

Williamsburg’s Izzy Stidham won the 100-meter dash in 13.05 seconds. Bethel-Tate’s Hayden Shields took second in 13.17 followed by CNE’s Anna Best in 13.31.

That same trio finished in that same order in the 200-meter dash. Stidham won the race in 27.40 seconds followed by Shields (27.49) and Best (28.35).

Bethel-Tate’s Hayden Setty won the 400-meter dash in 1:05.11. Felicity’s Emerson Pinger placed third in 1:07.45.

Williamsburg’s Kaitlyn Gregory took second in the 800-meter run, finishing in 2:31.30. Gregory won the 1600-meter run with a time of 5:35.50.

Bethel-Tate’s Brady Sterbling placed second in the 3200-meter run, finishing in 12:33.97. Georgetown’s Savannah Faught won that event in 12:19.08.

Bethel-Tate’s Tabbi Courts won the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 17.79 seconds. Williamsburg’s Maggie Carver placed second in 18.45 seconds.

Courts also won the 300-meter hurdles title, finishing in 51.02 seconds.

Williamsburg won the 4×100 meter relay in 53.31 seconds. Bethel-Tate won the 4×400 relay in 4:26.92.

In the field events, Bethel-Tate’s Haile Hehemann took the shot put title with a throw of 30 feet, 11 inches. Hehemann also won the discus with a throw of 90 feet, 7 inches.

Williamsburg’s Sophie Humphries placed second in the discus with a throw of 90 feet, 5 inches.

Bethel-Tate’s Lilly Webb won the long jump, leaping 15 feet, 7.5 inches. Jordan Davidson jumped 15 feet, 5.5 inches to take second. Best placed third for CNE with a leap of 15 feet, 3.5 inches.

Courts won the high jump by clearing the 5-foot, 2-inch mark.

Williamsburg’s Alaina Kellerman won the pole vault by clearing 8 feet, 6 inches. CNE’s Grace Ferguson placed second at 8 feet. Williamsburg’s Emma Cummins cleared 6 feet to take third.

Bethel-Tate and CNE are scheduled to comepte in the Division II track and field meet in New Richmond this week. Field events were held on Tuesday, May 17 with running events on Thursday, May 19 at 4:30 p.m. Running finals are scheduled for 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 21.

Felicity and Williamsburg are scheduled to compete in the Division III meet in New Richmond. The schedule for the Division III meet is the same except for the running finals, which will be held on May 21 from 10 a.m. to noon.
