The Associated Press says Cohen Hancz-Barron, 22, was found guilty on Thursday of four counts of murder for the deaths of his girlfriend and her three children last year.

Hancz-Barron was arrested over a hundred miles away and hours after the bodies were found, the AP says.

Hancz-Barron used a knife to kill his girlfriend, Sarah Nicole Zent, 26, Carter Matthew Zent, 5, Ashton Duwayne Zent, 3, and Aubree Christine Zent, 2, in their home. All four died from stabbing-related injuries and Sarah, the mother, had also been strangled, the Allen County coroner said, according to the AP.

Hancz-Barron is expected to be sentenced on August 5, according to the Journal Gazette. Prosecutors, according to the AP, are asking for life in prison without the possibility of parole.
