John Daly showed up to the first round of the PGA Championship in an outfit so blindingly brilliant he already won, no matter how he played.

John Daly’s best golfing days may be behind him but he’s never been better dressed. He finished the first round of the PGA Championship a respectable +2 but he was sitting firmly atop the drip leaderboard with a neon green polo and a pair of brightly colored pants in a Mexican Día de los Muertos motif.

Check out this photo of Daly crushing it off the tee while treating the tournament like his own, personal Met Gala.

John Daly has style

Never in my wildest dreams would I have the confidence to try and pull off a pair of pants like this. It takes exceptional swagger when you know the jokes are just going to write themselves. For example … “Looks like Santa Claus just crushed a case of Monster Energy Nitro” and … “Even Guy Fieri thought these pants were a bit much.”

Daly has always been a sharp dresser and, amazingly, this isn’t even the first time he’s rocked this exact combo.

Here’s hoping he can make the cut and we get three more chances to see what’s hanging out in the back of his closet.
