GENERAL HOSPITAL’s Easton Rocket Sweda Stars in His First Movie!

Get ready to see talented GENERAL HOSPITAL child star Easton Rocket Sweda (Leo) on the big screen in the upcoming family comedy, The Present! “Finally, it can be revealed!” he shared on Instagram when the news broke. “I’m a lead in my first movie!”

Written by Jay Martel and directed by Christian Ditter, The Present stars Isla Fisher and Greg Kinnear as separated parents with three children who want to get them back together again. As described by Deadline, a brilliant little boy discovers he can manipulate time using a magical family heirloom and he teams up with his siblings to go back to just before the separation and try to change the future. Naturally, as their schemes to keep their parents together become more and more elaborate, lessons are learned. Sweda, Shay Rudolph, and Mason Shea Joyce play the kids on a mission.

Sweda made his acting debut when he joined the cast of GH in August 2021 and has earned praise for his performance as Leo Quartermaine was diagnosed with autism. The young performer, who is also autistic himself, is now breaking onto the big screen and his TV parents couldn’t be happier for him. “You go, TV son!” cheered Lisa LoCicero (Olivia). “You got this!”

The Present has only recently entered production in Los Angeles, but keep checking back here at SoapsInDepth.com for updates, including when the movie will be coming out so you can see Sweda make his motion picture debut!
