The Drunk Driving Awareness walk, organized by Pamela Hamby in honor of her daughter Brieonna Sanders-Samora, took place on April 30. Sanders-Samora died after being struck by a drunk driver and, ever since, Hamby has worked hard to bring awareness to Fremont County.

April’s walk consisted of not only the walk itself but also a breakfast food truck, prizes and attendance from all sorts of Fremont County “royalty” including the police chief, many officers, and the 2022 Blossom Pageant Queen, Destiny Jordan, and her court.

Funds raised during the event were donated to both the CCHS and CHS senior Funfests to keep graduating seniors safe the night before graduation and over 100 people attended the event.
