A 57-year-old Oquawka man was arrested this week after allegedly being caught in possession of a tractor stolen out of Iowa.

According to Henderson County Chief Deputy Matthew Link, Donald Millard was arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle on Sunday, May 15.

Link says the sheriff’s office received a report of Millard driving a tractor that was parked at a residence in Gladstone, where the complainant stated they did not believe Millard had purchased it.

Millard and the tractor were located in Gladstone and, upon investigating, deputies learned he did not purchase the farm implement and began searching for a victim.

It was learned the tractor was stolen from J. J. Nichting Company in Pilot Grove, Iowa. It was valued at $125,000.
He was taken to the Henderson County Jail.
