Nike Air Force 1 Low "Puerto Rico" Is Built With Perforated Leathers

Nike has a tendency of spreading love to various parts of the globe through special footwear colorways, and one territory that will often get some attention is Puerto Rico. In the past, the Swoosh has fashioned special Air Max 97s, Air Trainer 1s and Nike Air Force 1 Low CMFTs for the Caribbean island, and now the sportswear brand has just unveiled a special Air Force 1 Low “Puerto Rico” colorawy.

Select parts of PR’s flag are tossed onto the sneakers in accenting form. You’ve got the bold red hits that apply to the Nike logos that adorn the tongues as well as a blue tone which covers the entire bottoms and white which wraps a majority of the base layer. Uppers bring in various textures as the toe boxes, tongues and quarters are made with perforations while the overlays are smoothened out. Call outs to the U.S. territory are found via the lace dubraes which split between a domino on the right foot and its moniker on the left as well as the right heel and insoles which are pay homage to “Nueva York” to “Viejo San Juan.”

Nike hasn’t given a release date for these just yet but it’s likely they’ll arrive on the market in the coming months.
