Music for you during the advert breaks, as usual- time now for a cup of tea ( and 1/2 a packet of digestives) so see you on here shortly.

Don't be late!

I was reading an article on the BBC about the Rebekah Vardy case they very kindly gave us the following explanation because otherwise we wouldn't have a clue

Wag is a term used to describe the wives and girlfriends of footballers, while Agatha Christie was a famous English detective novelist.

I did watch last night, but was too tired to post.

Currently watching The Brothers McGregor on Forces TV. Some nice 80's nostalgia, with some thick Scouse accents.

Wag is a term used to describe the wives and girlfriends of footballers, while Agatha Christie was a famous English detective novelist.

The WAG term was first coined during Ryder Cup. The Brits tabloids were overly interested in the US golfers partners, probably because they were dressed to the nines.

It got appropriated by England footballer's partners during Sven's unsuccessful 'Golden Generation' period.

Did anyone else see Shelly and her 'old man' picking up their lottery winnings on tv earlier? Far worse than anything I'd imagined and 'dead common' behaviour too! :s

Unfortunately I haven't won the lottery. I stopped doing it years ago when the number of balls increased.

Sorry to hear your plight Ron, whatever you do it'll probably end up being 'your fault' when things go wrong.

I can understand that some people haven't heard of Agatha Christie but surely everyone knows the term WAG?
