Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow led his team to the Super Bowl last season but along the way, he got sacked a lot. A league-leading 51 times, to be exact. But in Burrow's eyes, they really weren't all bad.

The  Bengals signal-caller jumped on the Full Send Podcast and explained why he believes some sacks should be considered good, depending on the situation at the time.

“Here’s the thing about sacks. So there’s good sacks and bad sacks. You look at the stats, yeah I got sacked a lot. But you look at when they happened: Third-down sacks? Who cares about third-down sacks? I’m going to try to extend the play as long as I can to get the first down on third down, unless I’m in field-goal range, then I’ll throw the ball away and get some points.”

The Bengals star certainly has a point here. It's much better to get sacked than throw an interception on third down. Cincinnati's offensive line didn't nearly protect him as much as they should've but regardless, Burrow still managed to take his squad to the brink of glory.

Burrow ended up getting sacked 19 times in the postseason as well but when he consistently makes big plays, you forget about all those times he's taken down in the backfield for a loss of yards.

It's all about perspective.
