Bethany, MO: A Cameron man, who was on parole following a conviction for involuntary manslaughter, was arrested on May 10 on several felony counts including the possession of a defaced firearm.
Bethany Police Officer Eric Rimmer arrested Elijah C. Mandich, 21, at the Casey’s General Store on 41st Street on an outstanding parole violation warrant. Rimmer received consent to search his vehicle and allegedly found a loaded Ruger handgun in a cowboy boot. The serial number in the handgun had been defaced and other modifications had been made to the appearance of the firearm, Rimmer said in a probable cause affidavit.
