Brian Daboll, one of the Rangers’ newest fans, wasn’t too happy when the Hurricanes came back to beat New York in overtime in Wednesday night’s series opener in Raleigh.

Watching back in New York, Daboll told reporters on Thursday “I almost broke my TV” when Ian Cole beat Igor Shesterkin for the game-winner in overtime to give Carolina a 1-0 series lead.

Daboll hopped on the Blueshirts bandwagon during the first round of the playoffs, attending games two, five, and seven at Madison Square Garden, and raving about the environment and the team’s ability to battle back from a 3-1 series deficit against the Penguins. He even went as far to say that New York’s fight was something his Giants could learn from when they face adversity.

Now, the Rangers are facing adversity again, and Daboll isn’t too happy about it.
