7 Pennsylvania cities ranked among nation’s 100 best places to live by U.S. News & World Report

PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh and six other Pennsylvania cities are ranked in the top 100 on U.S. News and World Report’s list of the Best Places to Live in the U.S. for 2022, with all but one moving up more than 10 spots from last year.

At No. 26, Pittsburgh was the highest ranked city in Pennsylvania. It leap-frogged Harrisburg to become the highest-ranked city in the commonwealth after the state capital held the title for two straight years. Still, Harrisburg moved up 26 spots from its No. 61 ranking in 2021 to reach No. 35. Lancaster, which holds the No. 61 spot this year, jumped 13 places from No. 74 last year. Reading similarly made gains, moving 27 spots from last year’s ranking of No. 101 to No. 74 and York came in at No. 92.
