What makes you a top prospect at your position  in the 2023 NFL Draft?

I am a Tight End that can be placed in any spot on the field. I can be flexed out into the slot, put on the single side of a formation, be a in-line Tight End, put in the fullback position, and put in the sniffer. I can be used in any scheme a offense has. I also can be placed on any special teams unit. I can be put in all of these spots and do the job assigned at a high level.

At what age were you first interested in the sport of football?

When I was 8 years old watching my brother play the sport in his high school days.

What is one thing that NFL teams should know about you?

I am true professional. I work extremely hard on my craft everyday in all facets. I put the time into film study, diet, recovery, and the process of mastering all the finer details of my position.

If you could donate to one cause in the world, what would it be?

The homeless shelters. In verse John 13:14-17, “He instructs His Disciples: If I then, your lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet.” I believe that we are put in positions to serve others.

What is the best advice you have ever received?

It’s never what it is, it’s always what it looks like.

Who was your childhood hero?

My mom Shannon Schaeffer and dad Paul Scaheffer. They raised me in the later years of my adolescence and ended up adopting me.

Who is the most underrated teammate in your locker room at your school?

Austin Hite

What is your biggest pet peeve?

A person’s breathe that stinks.

Overcoming adversity is what defines character, what was the hardest moment in your life to overcome?

As a young child I moved around a lot with my biological mother due to us being homeless. Everyday I was faced with a new challenge, and was put in a lot of tough circumstances. God allowed me to rise out of it and it ultimately created a certain type of mentality within myself.

Tell me something about your school and why it is so special to you?

A small school in Buies Creek, NC that’s all about some Camels. It’s special to me because it’s the first Division 1 school that took a chance on me.

What is your favorite snack food?

Sweet Chili Doritos

What is the best part of football?

Everything, I am obsessed with everything about the game of football.

If you could sell yourself in one sentence what would you say?

I am a man that will strive to leave a lasting impact of my hard work and spirt with any organization I get the opportunity to be apart of.

If you could compare your play to one player in the NFL who would it be?

Tyler Conklin. A guy who can be used in any offensive package. A gritty run and pass blocker, and has a great feel for route running.

If you could have dinner with three people dead or alive, who would it be and why?

  1. Michael Jordan. I want to pick his brain on leadership. The last dance wasn’t enough for me.
  2. Tony Gonzalez. The greatest Tight End to ever do it. I have to pick his brain.
  3. Bob Marley. One of my favorite artist.
