NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are investigating after a man was repeatedly shot in the head and killed in the Bronx on Wednesday, according to authorities.
At approximately 3:40 p.m., officials responded to a 911 call of shots fired at East 144th Street and Exterior Street in the South Bronx.

Upon arrival, officers observed a 20-year-old man, unconscious and unresponsive, with gunshot wounds to the head.
EMS transported the victim to NYC Health and Hospitals/Lincoln where he was pronounced dead.
A firearm was recovered on the scene, the NYPD said.
No arrests have been made and the investigation remains ongoing at this time.
