A Dallas fan favorite is going to play in next week's Charles Schwab Challenge at the Colonial in Fort Worth.

The Golf Channel's Todd Lewis reports that SMU Alum Bryson DeChambeau is withdrawing from this week's PGA Championship in Tulsa due to "fatigue in his surgically repaired left hand."

But Lewis confirms that the 'Mad Scientist.' one of the longest hitters on the tour will play in next week's Colonial.

DeChambeau, who lives in Dallas, has a love/hate relationship with some fans, partly because of his high-profile feud with Brooks Koepka.

The last time DeChambeu played the Colonial was 2020 when he finished tied for third.

The 2022 Colonial tees off a week from today.
