ITHACA – A former counsel to the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee has announced his candidacy for the Democratic line in the newly drawn expansive 19th Congressional District.
The Chenango County Democratic Committee Wednesday endorsed Josh Riley, a resident of Ithaca and Endicott native. The Cortland County Democratic Committee previously endorsed him.
Riley’s campaign announced it has raised over $850,000 without accepting corporate PAC money and with two-thirds of his contributions at $50 or less.
The sole Republican candidate in the 19th District is Dutchess County Executive Marcus Molinaro.
