First responders from more than a dozen agencies and other groups in Oakland County will be in White Lake Township this Saturday for a mass casualty/active assailant training exercise.

Planning for the multi-jurisdictional training program began in February and will be held at Woodside Bible Church-White Lake campus. The campus will be locked down for the program, which is being conducted to review response in incident management/unified command framework, safety and security needs, triage and treatment, communications, and evacuation and transport.

Participants include:

• Springfield Township Fire Department
• Highland Township Fire Department
• Commerce Township Fire Department
• Walled Lake Fire Department
• White Lake Township Community Emergency Response Team
• DMC Sinai-Huron Valley Hospital
• Oakland County Emergency Operations Center
• Region 2 North Healthcare Coalition
• Star EMS
• Medstar – Lifeflight
• Woodside Bible Church Security Team
