Supermodel Elle Macpherson Wants $29M for Her Art-Filled Coral Gables Paradise

With a decades-spanning career of high-fashion covers and runway shows, impeccable style comes second nature to supermodel Elle Macpherson. And when househunting in Miami, she had a vision. Macpherson was initially seeking a midcentury house, according to Architectural Digest, but stumbled upon this Normandy-style beauty designed by Chad Oppenheim. The rest is history. Bringing in New York-based firm Sawyer | Berson to design it to her and her sons’ tastes, this Coral Gables home came to life.

Now ready to pass her personalized paradise along, the seasoned model, entrepreneur, and actress is asking $29 million for it. At that price, a buyer gains 1.7 acres of gorgeous grounds designed by Enzo Enea, a pool and outdoor living spaces, and, of course, the 8,935-square-foot residence.

Stepping inside, it’s clear that art is the cornerstone of the decor. And why wouldn’t it be with an extraordinary collection like Macpherson’s on hand, which includes the works of Andy Warhol and Horst P. Horst? The director of interior design at Sawyer | Berson, Matt McKay, told AD, “Elle considers her artwork family. Though she is a passionate collector, she was adamant that we avoid creating the austere or expected look of a gallery.”

Mission accomplished, as no one could accuse this home of being stuffy. It’s light, welcoming, and full of creative energy. Every space has at least one artful statement splashed on the walls, whether it be a neon sign or an abstract painting, yet a sublime minimalist feel still hangs in the air.

Located in the gated community of Journeys End Estates, this $29 million splurge seems just right for a buyer who loves Miami, and perhaps Art Basel, but wants their privacy. Pablo Alfaro of Douglas Elliman holds the listing.
