Early Morning Crash Into the Gulch Off Myrtle in Eureka; Driver Flees the Scene
Just a little after 1 a.m. on Thursday, an emergency dispatcher told officers that multiple residents had called stating they had heard a loud noise, possibly an accident, in the vicinity of the Gulch off Myrtle Avenue just outside of the City of Eureka.
An officer soon confirmed that a vehicle had crashed into the Gulch and the driver had fled the scene, according to law enforcement reporting over the scanner to Emergency Dispatch.
A wallet with identification was left in the vehicle.
CHP was requested to respond to the incident.

I’m gonna guess that this person was completely sober and just went to get help.

I think the first thing I would do is grab my wallet with my ID in it. 🙄

Fleeing from one’s problems be they accidents or police is very in nowadays. Taking responsibility for one’s actions is for dweebs.
