Accidents reported in Waushara County

5/4/2022: A one-vehicle accident was reported at 4:30 a.m. on STH21 eastbound in the Town of Wautoma. Upon arrival contact was made with the hotel manager of Boarders Inn and Suites. Manager stated three employees and trucks from Midwest Tree Experts stayed at the hotel the couple nights prior. Manager provided a video of one of the employees getting into a work truck, Kenneth Wielenberg, 42, Upsala, MN, and drove just north of a light pole, stopped, then backed up and hit the light pole. He then drove forward and stopped. After a short time he drove out of the parking lot. He did not exit the vehicle and did not inform hotel staff of hitting the light pole. The hotel manager provided the information to the detective. Contact was made with the owner of the company and he was able to provide the information on the driver. The company owner was very cooperative regarding the situation.

5/4/2022: A two-vehicle accident was reported at 6:58 a.m. on an intersection in the Town of Marion. Katherine Plucinski, 41, Wautoma, was eastbound on State Road 21. Daryn Miller, 19, Wautoma, was stopped at the stop sign facing southbound on County Road S at State Road 21. Miller looked but did not see, and proceeded through the intersection. Plucinski struck Miller.

5/7/2022: A two-vehicle accident was reported at 2:24 p.m. on Woodward Ave. in the Village of Plainfield. Unit 2 was legally parked at Veteran’s Park and Scott Luce, 61, Wautoma, stated he was backing up and did not see the vehicle. The rear of Luce’s vehicle made contact with the left rear corner of Unit 2.

5/13/2022: A one-vehicle accident was reported at 6:39 p.m. on CTHA westbound in the Town of Saxeville. Fernando Edmundo Quahua, 26, Pine River, entered the north ditch then struck a driveway, launching him airborne. Upon hitting the ground, the vehicle rolled until it came to rest on all four tires.

5/14/2022: A one-vehicle accident occurred at 9:50 p.m. on IH39 southbound in the Town of Plainfield. T. Scott, 37, Wisconsin Rapids, struck an unknown object in the roadway. Deputy unable to locate object struck.

5/15/2022: A two-vehicle accident occurred at 7:10 a.m. in a parking lot in the Village of Hancock. Donna Walter, 63, Hancock, was backing up in the parking lot at the Hancock Mini Mart. Unit 2 was legally parked. Walter backed into Unite 2, side swiping the driver’s side. All other parking stalls were full with vehicles.

5/7/2022: At 8:34 p.m., Robert Timmermann, 59, Wautoma, on STH73, Northbound, Town of Marion.
