On Sunday Ogle County Deputies were dispatched to the intersection of N. Baileyville Rd. /W. Pit Rd. for a one-vehicle motorcycle accident.
It was determined that the driver of the motorcycle, 30-year-old Richard E. Thompson III of Freeport had lost control of the motorcycle, exited the roadway, and struck a tree.
Thompson was arrested for DUI Alcohol, and transported to FHN Hospital in Freeport, IL for moderate injuries, by Forreston EMS. Thompson was issued citations for Operate Uninsured Motor Vehicle, Expired Registration, Too Fast for Conditions, Violation of License Class 1st & 2nd Divisions, and was released on a $3,000.00 I-Bond with a court date.
The Forreston Police Department and Forreston Fire Department/EMS assisted deputies on scene.
