On Wednesday, Houston Rockets' rookie sensation Jalen Green was named to the NBA's All-Rookie first team. Green finished second in points per game and total points among rookies and finished the season on an emphatic scoring run that suggests superstardom could be just around the corner.

His run of five consecutive 30-point games and a 41-point eruption in the season's final game gave awards voters all they needed to vote him as one of the top five rookies. However, one prominent basketball journalist/podcaster/washed-up has-been was not impressed.

Bill Simmons, famous for his time at ESPN and the creation of The Ringer and its podcast network, said on his podcast, The Bill Simmons Pod, "F*** Jalen Green," when picking his All-Rookie team. The line, purportedly meant in jest, captured the attention of the media and NBA superstars.

Joel Embiid and Draymond Green mentioned the instance when talking about awards voting.

However, Jalen Green, after proving his biggest hater, Bill Simmons, was wrong with his All-Rookie first-team selection had the perfect response.

Simmons responded to Green's tweet to publicly clear the air and wish Green all the best in the future, while still doubling down on New Orleans Pelicans rookie Herb Jones being All-Rookie first team quality.
