Humboldt Girls’ Golf places 1st in 3A-Region 1 Tournament, moves on to 2022 3A State Tournament

Denison, IA – The Humboldt Wildcats Girls’ Golf team is headed to the 2022 Class 3A Girls’ State Tournament after an impressive showing this morning at Majestic Hills Golf Course. The girls’ team came in first place with a team score of 387 strokes, which was 13 strokes ahead of Sioux City in second place with 400 strokes.

Individually, the Wildcats’ Nora Carlson (Sr.) came in first place at the tournament with a score of 80, just edging out LeMars’ Dani Hurt (Sr.) by one stroke. Humboldt’s Noelle Hamand (Jr.) finished tied for fifth with a score of 93.

The Humboldt Girls’ Golf team will now move onto the 2022 3A State Tournament at River Valley Golf Course in Adel, Iowa. The tournament will start at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 26 and continue Friday, May 27 at 8:30 a.m.
