Andreas Christensen’s departure from Chelsea is becoming a bit of a nightmare for both parties.

The club are going to get no money for him, and the player has really undone all his good work in the pitch by making a messy exit.

He came to his manager on the morning of the FA Cup final to say that he couldn’t play, but nobody has been able to work out why.

The manager was asked about it today and said “he had his reasons” – but wouldn’t say what they were.

If it was an injury, he would say so. So it’s all being left in a rather uncomfortable and mysterious way.
