CIN-CLE postponed Wed.; makeup today

CLEVELAND -- The Cleveland Guardians announced Wednesday's game against the Cincinnati Reds has been postponed due to inclement weather and will be rescheduled as a 1:10 p.m. ET game on Thursday, May 19. Gates will open at 12:00 p.m. Fans with tickets to today’s game can attend tomorrow’s game without taking any further action and can use the same ticket. If they are unable to attend tomorrow’s game, the attending patron of today’s contest will be able to exchange into one of 28 game options and must exchange by tomorrow’s first pitch.

Cincinnati will keep its rotation on the current plan, and have Tyler Mahle set to make the start. The Guardians will send Cal Quantrill to the mound in the makeup on Thursday and the rotation will be able to stay in the same order for the series against Detroit over the weekend.

Cleveland leads the Ohio Cup series between the rivals with two wins, both during last month's games played at Great American Ball Park. Even if the Reds win the finale and even the season series, the Ohio Cup would remain in Cleveland's hands.

Fans are able to use the full value of their May 18 tickets in their My Tickets account when exchanging into the other designated games (additional fees may apply). Tickets must be exchanged by Thursday, May 19 at 1 p.m. ET.

*Please note that exchanges cannot be made in the MLB Ballpark app
