Nadene J. Brass

Nadene J. Brass, age 87, passed away Saturday, Feb. 5, 2022, in Haysville, Kansas.
She was born June 7, 1934, to Elmer and Loretta Lewis in Wauneta, Nebraska.
Nadene loved spending time with her family and spoiled her grandkids at every opportunity.  She loved all animals but especially dogs – they were her fur babies.  In later years, you could find her either watching old westerns or working her Cryptograms. She had a loving and compassionate heart for others and loved to be needed.  
Nadene was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin M. Brass, Jr.; parents, Elmer and Loretta Lewis; and siblings, Lorene, Vera, Glen, Kenneth and Reva.
Nadene is survived by her children, Terry (Sue) Brass, Michael Scott (Cindi) Brass, and Lori (Bob) Coykendall; grandchildren, Samantha (Philip) Griffin, Cody (Christina) Davis, Sydney (Josh) Strotkamp, Danielle Brass, Broderick Brass; great-grandchildren, Macey Griffin, Haley Griffin, Walker Griffin, Christian Griffin, Rylee Strotkamp, Charlee Strotkamp; siblings, Lois Kanost, John (Frances) Lewis, Lloyd (Doris) Lewis, and Jim (Charlene) Lewis.
Graveside services for Nadene will be held Saturday, May 21, 2022, 10:30 a.m. (MT), at Riverside Cemetery, Wauneta, with Joshua Strotkamp officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lifeline Animal Placement and Protection, 310 W 45th St. N, Wichita, KS 67204. Mom loved dogs and would be honored to have donations made to this organization.
