TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – Terre Haute South’s Courtney Jones continued her impressive track and field tear with four sectional titles Tuesday night.
“I’m just hoping to do the best I can. This was my last home meet at Terre Haute South. That’s kind of sad because I’m not running track in college, it’s like I’m just trying to do the best I can and leave a legacy here,” says Jones.
“I was hoping to PR in long jump and that would put me number one in long jump all-time, but I didn’t do that tonight so I’m hoping I can do that at regionals and continue to improve my 100, 4×1, and 300 hurdle time.”
Jones and the Braves will head to the track regional next week. South has won six straight track and field sectional titles.
