We all know that the Los Angeles Lakers had quite a miserable campaign during this past season. Minnesota Timberwolves outspoken guard Patrick Beverley is well aware of this fact and he is adamant that it would have been much different if he were around.

According to Beverley, the Lakers would have found more success if he were on their roster. The Timberwolves vet believes this to be the case simply because he knows he would put LeBron James in his place if he had the opportunity:

“No discredit to LeBron James, but he’s doing so much… Who’s their leader? Who’s telling LeBron, ‘Hey LeBron, you gotta be low man, bro. That ain’t your help out. You gotta X-out.’ No one’s telling him that. Not on a consistent basis. I’m gonna tell everyone that because I want to win,” Beverley said (h/t Jonathan Sherman of Lakers Daily)

To be fair, Beverley does have the cache to speak out in such a way. I am also sure that he wouldn't hesitate about calling LeBron James out if Beverley were actually a member of the Lakers. Whether or not this would be the be-all and end-all solution to LA's woes is an altogether different matter, however.
