With temperatures rising in the next few weeks, fire season is approaching quickly.
Josephine Community Library wants to help community members put together their emergency plans for situations like earthquakes and wildfires with an event from 12:00 to 1:00 pm, Saturday, May 21 at the Grants Pass Library on 200 NW C Street.
The program will feature Josephine County Emergency Management, explaining how earthquakes occur in our region, called the Cascadia Subduction Zone, and offering strategies for collaborating with neighbors to respond to certain hazardous situations.
Registration is not required.
This program is put on by the library's Everyday Civics program, which is sponsored by Oregon Pacific Financial Advisors LLC.
