Catcher Henry Davis, who was called up to Double-A Altoona just last week has a left wrist contusion and will head to Pittsburgh for an examination.

He’s currently on the seven-day injured list.

In his first game with the Curve, Davis hit a two-run home run in the fifth inning as he continues to progress toward a major league debut in a couple of years.

Davis has only played in two games for Altoona, with his only hit a home run in five at bats.

In High-A Greensboro, Davis was hitting .341 with 10 extra-base hits including five home runs and 22 RBI in just 22 games. The former Louisville star was second in the South Atlantic League in batting average and OPS (1.035), third in RBI and slugging percentage (.585), fourth in on-base percentage (.450) and fifth in hits (28).

Davis was placed on the seven-day IL last August after two game games with Greensboro with a right oblique strain
