The AFC North is going to be one of the most competitive divisions in the league next season. It should be a hard-fought battle for all four teams, especially after the Cincinnati Bengals burst onto the scene last year. Even so, star quarterback Joe Burrow weighs in on Baker Mayfield's situation with the Cleveland Browns.

During a guest appearance on the Full Send Podcast, Burrow offered his opinion on Baker Mayfield. The Bengals star quarterback claims, “That's a tough situation. He was hurt all last year. Every time we play him, he balls.” It is difficult to evaluate Cleveland's quarterback right now, as his injuries hampered his 2021 season altogether. Joe Burrow seems to believe that Mayfield is a solid option under center.

Additionally, Burrow sounds confident that Baker Mayfield will be just fine. Although the Browns traded for Deshaun Watson, Mayfield should be able to find a new home. “I think when you have a guy like Deshaun (Watson), you gotta take a chance at that because he's such a great player. But Baker will land on his feet. He's a really good player,” per Joe Burrow on the Full Send Podcast. The Bengals' star is clearly rooting for Mayfield.

There are two teams that stand out as possible landing spots for the Browns' disgruntled quarterback. The Seattle Seahawks could use his expertise while the Carolina Panthers were rumored to have been close to finalizing a trade to acquire him. Mayfield would be in a position to be a starting quarterback for each of these teams.

We'll see how it plays out though. The Browns have been patient so far, but an opposing franchise might jump on the opportunity in the coming weeks. Although Joe Burrow and the Bengals will have their hands full with the AFC North next season, Burrow continues to root for Baker Mayfield anyway. Look for some trades to possibly come to fruition in June.
