Ballots out for GCHS Sports Hall of Fame Class of 2022, banquet and induction ceremony set for Aug. 6

Voters consist of Committee members: David Lowrie, Tyler Brown, Pat Boston, Bobby Gallagher, Sheila Gallagher, Hugh Hill and Louie Ladd; and living Hall of Fame members: Rayburn Anderson, Marcia Walker Bess, Gary Brewer, Kyle Brewer, Allan Brown, Marshall Brown, Ed Cantrell, Rachel Cheek Smith, Frank Clay, George Clay, Julie Miller Davis, Kaye Meeks Durham, Jim Fults, Kenneth Fults, Mike Gifford, Marshall Gilliam, Jimmy Gipson, Benjie Graham, James Gunn, Barbara Meeks Hill, Judie Meeks Jacobs, Debbie Nunley Ladd, Ted Ladd, Joe Malone, Dianne Patton Martin, Nancy McGovern Oliver, Dennis Meeks, Isabell Meeks, Tom Melton, Juanita Merrill, Jody Nunley, Janice Overturf, Tannis Overturf, Betty Sue Meeks Patton, Mary Ellen Roberts Patton, Ricky Richards, Amanda Gallagher Ruehling, Charles Sanders, Bob Stinnett, Joe Westerfield, Ray Winton, Kasey Woodlee, Kim Woodlee Shibayama, the 1953 and 1963 football teams and the 1955, 1981 and 1998 girls basketball teams. Each team submits one ballot as a whole.

The 2022 GCHS Sports Hall of Fame Banquet and Induction Ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 6 in the GCHS cafeteria. Social hour begins at 4 p.m. and dinner will be served at 5 p.m. The awards ceremony will follow dinner. Tickets will soon be available for purchase at a discounted price from members of the GCHS Sports Hall of Fame Committee. Tickets can also be purchased at the door the night of the banquet for full price.

If a current member of the Hall of Fame did not receive a ballot, they are asked to check their spam/junk folder or email GCHSSportsHOF@gmail.com to request a ballot. Ballots can also be obtained by contacting David Lowrie or Tyler Brown.
