AFTERNOON/TONIGHT/OVERNIGHT
We will likely equal or break another record high temperature this afternoon. The intense summer heat will send highs to near 100 this afternoon. Expect a breezy and humid afternoon as temperatures cool into the upper 80s by mid-evening. Clouds moving in by sunrise Thursday.
THURSDAY
Not much change is expected. The morning commute will start our warm, cloudy and humid with temperatures in the low 70s. The cloud cover scatters out by mid-morning. Temperature warm quickly into the low 90s by noon and near a record breaking 100 for the afternoon. A sultry evening awaits.
LONG TERM TREND
Friday will bring our first hint of change. We’ll see more clouds move into the region. This will help limit highs to the mid-90s. Breezy south and southeast winds will pump plenty of gulf moisture into the region to make rain. A weak cold front will move through on Saturday to cool things down. It will work to make some rain late Saturday into Sunday. Conditions for rain and storms will continue into Wednesday of next week.
