Thunder Outreach Ministries will host a Miracle Tent Revival Week from June 12-18 at Laurel Mountain Ministries Chapel, 27 Chapel Lane, Boyertown.

“We’re doing a good old-fashioned big tent revival,” said Chaplain Mark Malizzi of Thunder Outreach Ministries, a faith-based Christian community outreach event and organizer team that started out as an 11-person Bible study group.

Miracle Tent Revival Week is a full week of big tent revival services featuring powerful worship experiences along with guest speaker Jennifer Martin, founder of Contagious Love International. Services will be held under a large tent each night starting at 7 p.m., plus water baptisms will be held in the cross-shaped pool. Attendees also have the opportunity to sit and pray at the feet of full size crosses on the mountain.

“The Hebrew word translated as ‘tabernacle’ means ‘tent.’ It was to be a place of meeting. God was making a way to be near his people,” explained Malizzi. “The people he had set free from oppression and bondage. The tent symbolizes the desire of God to be with us and stands as a place of freedom from all that separates from a loving God.”

A big part of the week of services is inclusivity and a call to action.

“What matters to me is: are we showing love to our neighbors, are we making our communities better, is our faith actually enlightening and brightening our communities?” said Malizzi. “People talk a lot of talk but the Bible does say faith without works is dead. Your faith should inspire other people; it should never tear other people down… Faith, Hope and Love.”

The tent revival services are a chance for people to come together and hear an outside preacher, he said.

“Amazing things have happened,” said Malizzi. “The Bible says signs, miracles and wonders follow those who believe.”

“I have seen things that I cannot explain by human eyes,” he continued.  “I will never try to tell you how God works. I will never promise you that I’m going to do a healing event. All we do is when we do a big tent revival we try to create an atmosphere of love and caring. We bring in inspirational speakers and hopefully somebody there will get touched in a way that they can maybe get rid of a burden they have been carrying.”
