Blue Hole Bug-A-Thon

Have you or your kiddo ever wondered about the wonderful world of bugs? Come learn about the creepy, crawly world in this new and exciting event! Each Sunday until May 22nd from 10:00 am-11:00 am, your children can learn the process of bugs, their role in the environment, and so much more! Registration is required. $10 per class for children ages 3-5. Parents come free! Participants will meet at the Blue Hole Regional Park Pavilion.

Senior Swim at Blue Hole Regional Park

Senior swim is back and better than ever! Senior swim is open to anyone age 55+ from 11 AM to 2 PM Tuesdays and Thursdays starting May 3rd to May 24th. Tickets are $2 per Senior and reservations are NOT required. Please present photo ID at check-in. Blue Hole Regional Park only accepts credit/debit cards. NO CASH.

Library Expansion and Renovation Project Open House

The Wimberley Village Library will hold an open house on May 18 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. to show off the new library expansion and renovation plans.

StoryCircle Women’s Writing Group

Sharon Spector will host the StoryCircle Women’s Writing Group, an outdoor event, at the Wimberley Village Library on May 18 at noon. No prior writing experience needed.

Emergency Preparedness Fair

The Wimberley EMS, Wimberley Fire, VFW Post 6441, Wimberley Constable’s Office, Hays County Sheriff’s Office, Hays County Cert, Wimberley Valley Rangers, Barnabas Connection, Wimberley Valley Radio, WISD, City of Wimberley, City of Woodcreek, Hays County Office of Emergency Management, Texas A&M Forest Service, Hays County Fire Marshal, PEC and more will have emergency preparedness information and activities on May 21 at the VFW Fairgrounds from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Hill Country Community Band “Faraway Places”

The Hill Country Community Band will present a concert of music from “Faraway Places” on Saturday, May 21st, 2 p.m. at the Wimberley First Baptist Church. Featured soloist is Luellyn Dollard, a 21-year veteran of the US Navy Band. The concert is free to all!

Wimberley VFW Post 6441 invites all veterans and their families to celebrate Armed Forces Day with a free barbecue lunch from 11 to 2, Saturday, May 21, at 401 Jacobs Well Road. The Cover of Life at the Wimberley Players

The cover of life by R. T. Robinson April 29 – May 22, Tood, Weetsie, and Sybil are all brides in rural Louisiana in 1943. Each married a Cliffert brother. Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride for men’s health

The British Motorcycle Enthusiasts Group of Wimberley, BMEG (pronounced Bee Meg) is sponsoring this year’s Ride To Wimberley part of the worldwide “Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride for men’s health”. The BMEG’s “Ride To Wimberley” generates funds and awareness of men’s prostate and mental health and is open to all riders of classic motorcycles who ride dapper in gentlemanly attire. ” Event will start Sunday, May 22 in San Marcos and end with a ride around the Wimberley Town Square. Dog Training 101

Sarah Bond will host Dog Training 101 at the Wimberley Village Library on May 25 at noon. Learn the basics using effective, force-free, reward-based methods.

Dwain York Retirement Celebration

A retirement celebration will be held for Wimberley ISD Superintendent Dwain York on May 26 at The Waters Point at 6 p.m. There will be music by Lance Lipinsky.

Jurassic Park at Blue Hole

Come step back in time and celebrate the upcoming swim season with a free showing of Jurassic Park on the Friday before Memorial Day May 27! Hands-on activities will be provided by the Austin Paleontological Society and the University of Texas Jackson School Museum of Earth History. Take a photo with a near exact model Jurassic Park vehicle and learn all about the wonderful world of dinosaurs. Free swimming starts at 7 PM and the movie starts at 8 PM! This is a free event and does not require reservations!

The Writing Life Book Club

Wimberley Valley Museum

There are new hours for the Winters-Wimberley House/Wimberley Valley Museum. It will be open on the first weekend of month (Market Days Weekend) with docents Friday and Saturday 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. starting June 4 and 5.

Adult Craft LAB with Wimberley Library

Adult Craft LAB is a year-round tinker and craft program for adults 18+. Classes are held virtually via Zoom. Class times: Wednesdays from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. unless otherwise noted. Class limit of 10 on a fist come, first-served basis. Supply kits are free and included with each class. Supply kits are available inside the library in the craft area Monday-Wednesday 1-6.
