BELLEVUE, Wash. – A City of Bellevue employee found what appears to be human remains early Wednesday morning.

The employee was working in the 500 block of 150th Pl NE around 8:30 a.m. when they saw the bones in a wetlands area.

The employee called police, who say it appears the bones have been there for several years.

The remains were sent to the medical examiner and an anthropologist, who will determine if they are human or animal. However, BPD did say the anthropologist claimed the remains appear to be human.
