Dog killing under investigation in Waushara County

TOWN OF SPRINGWATER (NBC 26) — Authorities are trying to figure out who killed a dog and left it floating in a lake.

According to the Waushara County Sheriff's Office, the Wisconsin Dept. of Natural Resources received an email complaint Monday in reference to a small dog floating in Twin Lake in the Town of Springwater.

DNR Wardens contacted the Waushara County Sheriff's Office and deputies responded after DNR Wardens found the dog.

The Waushara County Sheriff’s Office says it's requesting help from the community finding the owner or the person(s) responsible for intentionally killing the dog.
