The number of people hospitalized in Louisiana with COVID is at 114 in the most recent update from the Louisiana Department of Health. It is the first time that figure has been above 100 since March 24.
The state also reports 1,260 new cases today. Daily new cases have not surpassed 1,000 since late February. The real number of new cases is likely higher since not all positive home tests get reported.
Another six people are reported dead from COVID-19.
