Lincoln’s hazardous waste collection center extending hours through July

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Lincoln’s Hazardous Waste Center at 5101 N. 48th St. is extending its hours through July.

They will now be offering extended hours from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Wednesdays.  The extended hours will continue through July, city officials say.

“The extended hours are part of our overarching Solid Waste Management Plan and it helps make HAZTOGO more convenient and customer friendly,” said Ralph Martin, senior environmental health specialist at Lincoln-Lancaster County Health Department.

The hazardous waste collection center is available to all Lincoln and Lancaster County residents for free.

The center is open on the third Saturday of each month from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. year-round.
