Dodgers close clubhouse to media, broadcast team won't travel on road trip amid COVID outbreak

Just when it seems like the sports world is getting back to normal, another COVID wave hits a team and alters everything.

This time it's the Los Angeles Dodgers, who have closed their clubhouse to the media after members of their broadcast team tested positive this week.

The broadcast team will also not go on the Dodgers' upcoming road trip in conjunction with the league's health and safety protocols.

As for the team itself, LA is trying to get healthier and keep their current winning streak going. As of Wednesday morning, no players or coaches had shown any symptoms.

The Dodgers rebounded from a four-game losing skid to win five straight including Tuesday's 12-3 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks. They maintain a slim one-game lead over the San Diego Padres in the NL West and are two games ahead of the San Francisco Giants.
