'Makes my stomach sick': Christina Haack's ex Ant Anstead blasts her again for using son as 'puppet' on Instagram for 'commercial gain' amid ugly custody war

Ant Anstead recently accused his ex-wife Christina Hall of exploiting their son Hudson for financial gain on social media but is now defending his right to share snaps of the toddler online.

The 43-year-old was branded a hypocrite by a fan of Christina's who called him out in an Instagram comment for posting a video of Hudson playing soccer on Monday.

Anstead, who is currently vying for full custody, shot back at the criticism by pointing out the difference between 'being a puppet 'used' for commercial gain' and 'capturing organic moments in the footsteps of a toddler'.

On Monday, Ant took to Instagram with a sweet video of Hudson kicking around a soccer ball.  

'I thought you didn't want your son to be exploited on social media,' a Christina fan quipped in the comments. 

Ant responded: 'Absolutely I don't. Being a kid and capturing organic moments in the footsteps of a toddler I'm all in favour of! It's a lovely diary to keep and look back on.

Adding: 'But being a puppet 'used' for commercial gain and being made to perform makes my stomach sick. The two are of course very different x x.'

Other Christina supporters jumped in to call out what they felt was the Wheeler Dealers star's hypocrisy. 

'I hear Hudson, saying ,put your phone down!! You're always posting , more then Christina ever has,' a social media user penned. 

Ant went after Christina in court documents as part of his bid to get full custody of their two-year-old, accusing Hall of neglecting him and using him as a social media prop.

The former spouses have reportedly been ordered by a judge to attend mediation as part of their messy custody battle, according to documents obtained by Us Weekly.

In court documents the TV personality accused his ex-wife of being an unfit mother and claimed she had been negligent when it came to both his and their son Hudson's medical safety.

In Ant's explosive court filing, he also stated that his girlfriend Renee Zellweger, 53, was forced to stop production on her latest project due to COVID exposure from Hall, who had not disclosed that her family contracted coronavirus.

'At the time my partner was filming her new project and her covid diagnosis placed the whole production on pause,' he wrote in the documents.

Anstead filed to modify the couple's shared custody agreement but that same day a judge denied his bid. 

A judge ruled that Antstead had not given Hall proper notice and had not demonstrated that Hudson was at critical risk in the current shared custody agreement. 

He will still have the chance to make a case for temporary custody during a hearing in late June.

In his filing, Ant also accused his HGTV star ex of being an absentee mother, only spending a few days a month with their son.

Through her legal team, Hall called the claims that she put Hudson at risk and was wholly absent in his life 'false allegations' that 'shocked' her.

The move marks a significant departure from their seemingly amicable split and shared goal of peaceful co-parenting, after saying in their 2020 breakup announcement that 'our children will remain our priority.'

The father-of-three is requesting that a family court judge modify their current shared custody agreement to give him full custody of Hudson with Christina getting the toddler every other weekend.

His request also included a caveat that Hall stop using Hudson in paid posts or projects unless he expressly consents.

Meanwhile, Hall recently dealt with another dispute with her other ex, her first husband Tarek El Moussa.

Last week the real estate mogul got into a heated spat with Tarek's new wife Heather Rae Young as they attended their six-year-old son Brayden's soccer game.

Photos obtained exclusively by DailyMail.com showed Tarek having to pull Heather away by her arm after she appeared to be arguing with Christina, who was sitting on a folding chair under a portable awning with her husband Joshua Hall.

Then El Moussa and Haack's son Brayden was hospitalized and had to have his appendix removed, along with Meckel's diverticulum, which is a congenital defect of the small intestine.

Shortly after, a rep for Christina said the couples had 'resolved' their issues and  social media posts from both parties reiterated the sentiment.

The Flip Or Flop star shared a sweet photo of herself and new husband Josh beaming with Tarek and Heather.

The quartet joined forces to celebrate an open house for Christina and Tarek's daughter Taylor days after the confrontation.

'Co-parenting 101. Kids come first,' Christina declared in her caption, adding that they were at Taylor's open house.

'Next, on to middle school she goes. Brayden is recovering well and we are all grateful,' she continued. 'It has been a very rough few weeks, ready for some peace.'
