On Thursday, May 5, 2022, the 5th Annual Dr. Dan Throgmorton Memorial Scholarship was presented to Miss AC Whitehead and Mr. Carter Smith, both of whom are 2022 graduates of Collinwood High School.
AC is the daughter of Stanley & Sharon Whitehead and Katrina & Ricky Haddock. Carter is the son of Brian & Ryan Smith, all of Collinwood.
The “Dr. Dan” scholarships are awarded annually to high school seniors who are planning to pursue a degree in Education. Both of these graduating seniors display a deep passion along with a desire to make a difference in the educational field.
The Throgmorton family wishes the scholarship recipients all the best in their future endeavors.
