Waushara County Department of Aging/ADRC holding community office hours

Meeting with specialists from Waushara County’s Department of Aging/ADRC is about to get a little easier for the county’s senior and disabled residents. Community Office Hours will move throughout the county on various days and times, and to multiple locations, beginning in May.

“It isn’t always convenient for residents of Waushara County, particularly the elderly and disabled, to meet at our office in Wautoma to handle their county business,” says Cathy Deusterhoeft, Elder Benefits Specialist for Waushara County. “We are hopeful residents will take advantage of the bi-monthly office hours, by scheduling appointments with the specific team members in their area for that day, in addition to dropping off paperwork, or just stopping by to meet us and receive answers to general questions about department services and programs.”

The first off-site Com-munity Office Hours will take place on Thursday, May 19, from 1 p.m.-2:30 p.m. at the Redgranite Fire House. Disability Benefits Specialist Dan Hofer will be the attending department team member.

Future Community Office Hours events will be held at locations such as the Saxeville Town Hall/Dining Center, Wild Rose Community Center, and the Open-Air Market in Wautoma. For more information on days, times, and locations, or to schedule an appointment with a team member, contact the Department of Aging/ADRC at (920) 787-0403 or watch future issues of the Loose Ends Newsletter.
