Blue Devils, Islanders lead field at Wild Bluff

BAY MILLS — The Sault High boys golf team captured a five-school meet at Wild Bluff Golf Course Monday.

Blue Devils Carson Kronemeyer and Jackson Gervasio tied for medalist honors with 43s. 

Sault High put together a team score of 178, while Brimley finished second with 194 and Cedarville-DeTour was third with 224. Pickford and Mackinac Island also cmpeted but did not have full teams.

Filling out the Sault scoring, Easton Fitzner shot 44, while Reilly Cox shot 48 and Odin Medrick 49.

Perry LeBlanc paced Brimley with a 44, while John Stenglein had 47 and Jacques LeBlanc III 49.

Cason Smith shot 50 to lead the Cedarville-DeTour Islanders.

George Edington led Pickford with a 46.

Cedarville-DeTour won the girls meet with 246, followed by Pickford 269 and Brimley 296. Sault High and Mackinac Island also competed but did not have full teams.

Zoe Autore and Lilly Plowman of Cedarville-DeTour and Grace Swanson of Sault High all tied for first with 58s.

Cierra LeBlanc of Brimley shot 61, while Hayley Kohlmann of Cedarville-DeTour and Laura Bush of Pickford had 63s.

Sault High’s scoring also included Elizabeth Ohman (71) and Ava Stark (79).

EUP Conference schools were scheduled to compete at Pickford Wednesday.  

Sault High is scheduled to compete at Cheboygan Monday.
