Waushara County Home & Community Education members celebrated their Annual Achievement Night on May 3rd in the Demo Room of the Courthouse.

Two scholarships were awarded to Waushara County students during the evening.    Juleanna Johnson is a sophomore at Fox Valley Technical College to become a registered nurse and medical administrator.  She is the daughter of Jessica Maurer and Matthew Johnson.  Andrew Momsen is a freshman at University of WI – Green Bay.  His goal is to become a medical doctor.  He is the son of Lynn and Eric Momsen.

The thirty seven articles in the Cultural Arts Show were judged by Jennifer Caravella, a former Waushara Co. UWEX Educator.  Twelve entries from seven members will be taken to the Cultural Arts Show at the WAHCE State Conference in September to be entered in the state-wide Cultural Arts Show.

Members receiving these awards are Jewel Schroetter, Deb Hickey, Lynda Worden, Jeanne Williamson, Sally Roberts, Nancy Lauters, and Linda Dombrow.  The Peoples’ Choice Award was presented to Jewel Schroetter for her hand stitched picture.
