The Steelers are adding a museum to Heinz Field.

On Wednesday, the organization announced the addition of the Steelers Hall of Honor Museum.

The new area will be constructed near Gate B above the Steelers Pro Shop with fans able to visit the museum year-round after it officially opens during the 2022 season.

The Steeler Hall of Honor Museum will salute the best players, coaches and front office personnel that have been inducted into the Hall of Honor that started in 2017.

"We are extremely excited about the opening of the Steelers Hall of Honor Museum this Fall," said Steelers President Art Rooney II. "This will provide our fans the opportunity to not only learn more about the Hall of Honor inductees, but also about the history of the team with many great videos, pictures and displays that highlight great moments and players in Steelers history. We have the best fans in the world, and we know they will enjoy this interactive museum upon its opening later this Fall."

More details about the museum, including when it will officially open, will be made available in the summer.
