Police asking for public’s help after boat was abandoned in the Nashua River

NASHUA, N.H. — The Nashua Police Department is asking for the public’s help after a boat was intentionally abandoned in the Nashua River by a man in a red pickup truck.

On April 29, a red pickup truck backed down the Mines Falls boat ramp and an unknown man was seen pushing the vessel into the water. The pickup truck is believed to be a Dodge Ram with red rims.

The boat is a 25 foot, 1989 Donzi Ragazza named Water Walker out of Boston, Massachusetts.

After examining the boat, police discovered the motor was missing and there was a large hole in the hull. Because of this, investigators believe the boat was intentionally abandoned.

Officers recovered the sunken vessel on May 16 and launched an investigation.

Anyone with information about the owner of the pickup truck or owner of the boat is asked to call Nashua Police at (603) 594-3500.
