More often than not, hockey players don't agree with a penalty when it's called on them.

It's safe to say Brayden Schenn really did not agree with the high-sticking penalty he was given in Game 1.

The Blues forward was whistled with 1:49 left in the third period after whacking Avalanche defenseman Josh Manson in the face. Schenn's stick got caught behind him and as Manson was falling to the ground, the stick came up and hit him high.

It gave the Avs a power play for the rest of the third period with the game tied 2-2. Schenn expressed his displeasure by taking it out on the camera in the penalty box.

Luckily for Schenn and the Blues, the Avalanche were unable to take advantage of the opportunity to end regulation, or the 41 seconds in overtime on 5 on 4 play.

However, Colorado was able to strike just over eight minutes into the overtime period with a goal, ironically enough, from Manson to give the Avalanche a 3-2 win in Game 1.

Schenn ended the game with an assist on Ryan O'Reilly's opening goal and two blocked shots in 22:53 time on ice. Goaltender Jordan Binnington did everything he could to give the Blues the win, stopping 51 shots in the losing effort.
