Disney Genie+ Will be ‘Subject to Availability’ at Walt Disney World Starting June 8

Disney announced that starting June 8, Genie+ will only be available to purchase through My Disney Experience on the day of a visit to Walt Disney World, instead of as a pre-arrival add-on.

Disney also stated that Genie+ will be “subject to availability,” implying they may limit the number of Genie+ sales each day—especially on busy days, like Christmas and New Year’s Eve.

Disney stated they are “focused on delivering the best possible guest experience, and this adjustment will help manage the incredibly strong demand our guests have shown for Disney Genie+.”

They expect that, on average, guests who purchase Genie+ will still be able to enter 2-3 attractions each day using Lightning Lane.

This new policy will only take effect at Walt Disney World for now, not Disneyland Resort.
